Assistant Sustainability Manager
Mae Fah Luang Foundation – Sustainability Advisory (SuA)

A call to create real change

If you believe in sustainability and want to be part of a dynamic team that gets things doneconnects sectors, and drives meaningful impact for society — this is for you.

The Sustainability Advisory Unit (SuA) of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation (MFLF) is looking for a purpose-driven team player to join us in driving sustainable action to scale up measurable real-world impact across Thailand and beyond.

With 40 years of experience in transforming lives through human-centered development — balancing social, environmental, and economic well-being — the Foundation has launched SuA to extend its impact by working with partners across the public and private sectors in Thailand and internationally. Our mission: a “last-mile implementation solution” to turn sustainability vision into measurable, lasting results on the ground.

In your day-to-day as SuA’s Assistant Sustainability Manager, you will:

  •   Co-develop, execute, and manage multi-disciplinary sustainability projects—from start to success — working closely with local actors and global leaders in climate, biodiversity, and sustainable development.

  • Serve as a connector across sectors and stakeholder groups to unlock shared value and amplify impact through managing strategic collaboration.

  • Advance your own and others’ understanding and practice around climate & environmentnature & biodiversity, and social development topics to  improve implementation solutions and contribute to thought leadership.

A good-fit candidate may have these attributes:

  • Intellectually curious and attuned to developments in sustainability, climate action, and nature conservation.

  • Ability to combine systems thinking with a hands-on, solutions-focused mindset — turning sustainability vision into reality with timely, effective execution.

  • Educational background in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Administration, Business, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with over 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong communicator in both Thai and English, skilled in bridging understanding, buy-in, and collaborative efforts across diverse stakeholder groups — from grassroots communities to business leaders and policy shapers.

  • Excellent project management skills: highly capable of planning, coordinating, executing, and evaluating multi-dimensional sustainability initiatives to deliver results that align with international standards while ensuring real benefits to communities.

Join us in building sustainability that works—on the ground, across society, and into the future.
