Country Sponsorship Manager

Location: Chiangmai

Note: This is a local position opened to Thai nationals

The  Country Sponsorship Manager  will lead sponsorship operations, manage the sponsorship team and provide strong guidance to the  Partners staff  , volunteers, program staff  and the Country Management Team (CMT)  to ensure:

Secure and substantial child sponsorship income  - through high number of   sponsored children with sponsors

Achievement of country  goals in caseload management and the timeliness and quality of sponsorship  communications

Achievement of the sponsorship commitments through  integration  of sponsorship and programs

Dimensions of Role:

Leads responsibility for ensuring that Plan Thailand wins and retains a growing sponsorship income  through quality and timely communications

Directly manages  sponsorship staff responsible for processing communication in the system 

Reports directly to Country Director

Member of the Country Management Team (CMT)

Member of Asia Regional sponsorship network

Manages caseload and growth (13,000 to 15,000 Sponsored Children)

Helps integrate sponsorship, program and operations by getting hands on experience in program and operations management

Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position:

A  country  strategic sponsorship  growth  and communications plan, with quality standards and KPIs,  is developed, implemented and closely monitored, resulting in high quality and timely sponsorship communications     

Sponsorship system is  managed   efficiently and effectively  to ensure delivery of  quality and timely sponsorship communications to the National Organizations/International Headquarters 

Alternative Sponsorship models are developed  in collaboration with interested National Organizations (NO)

Sponsorship and Partner staff , Plan  staff  and Volunteers are trained on and implement sponsorship communications and Child Centre Community Development (CCCD) approache

Program and Operations staff understand sponsorship and actively contribute to meeting sponsorship commitments ,  communications goals and targets

Lessons learned, best practices and models are  documented  and shared with  Plan Thailand staff  Regional Office , International Headquarters

Ensures compliance to sponsorship policies and  procedures

Manages sponsorship growth and caseload

Learns about, builds hands-on experience in and contributes to broader Program and Operations management, in order to promote the integration  of sponsorship and program and One Plan approaches

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in  education or equivalent

At least 5 years management experience in community development organization, especially sponsorship management would be an advantage.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, coordination, organization and documentation skills

A track of record of achievement while managing a heavy workload, amidst ambiguity and           uncertainty

Understanding of Child Centre Community Development (CCCD) approach would be an advantage

Plan International has a Child Protection Policy.  The applicants should be willing to allow Plan International to conduct a police check once considered for the position.The successful candidate will be provided a competetive remuneration package.
