PREPAREDNESS SPECIALIST (m/f/d)
Full-time / 40 hours per week/ Bangkok, Thailand

Your contribution will be
Systematise preparedness processes across the organisation:
Monitor potential hazards
Establish and Manage Strategic Partnerships
Coordinate Internal Preparedness Initiatives
Design and roll out a comprehensive preparedness toolkit:
Represent Four Paws in External Preparedness Forums
Your profile ideally illustrates
Relevant Professional Experience:
Several years of experience in emergency preparedness, disaster management, humanitarian response, or a related field—preferably with exposure to animal welfare, NGO, or international organizational contexts. Demonstrated expertise in developing frameworks, managing partnerships, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
Educational Background:
University degree in emergency management, disaster risk reduction, public health, veterinary science, international relations, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications in emergency preparedness or project management are an asset.
Language Skills:
Good command of English (written and spoken) is required. Additional languages, especially those relevant to FOUR PAWS’ priority regions, are a strong advantage.
IT / Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Zoom). Experience with data analysis, needs assessment tools, and emergency management software is desirable.
Soft Skills and Personal Values:
Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Excellent communicator and facilitator, able to engage diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-pressure, dynamic environments. Culturally sensitive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning. Shares FOUR PAWS’ values of compassion, integrity, and respect for all living beings.
Willingness to Travel:
Willingness and ability for limited travel internationally.
