Mekong Institute (MI) is an intergovernmental organization that contributes to regional cooperation and integration through capacity development, dialogue, and advocacy for sustainable socioeconomic development and poverty alleviation in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).
Founded and represented by the Mekong countries (Cambodia, P. R. China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam), MI aligns its strategies with the core tenets of the GMS Cooperation Program Strategic Framework 2030, ASEAN Economic Community, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
MI supports these frameworks through the implementation of projects across the areas of Agricultural Development and Commercialization (ADC), Trade and Investment Facilitation (TIF), and Sustainable Energy and Environment (SEE) while addressing issues of social inclusion and vulnerability, digital economy and innovation, and labor mobility. This comprehensive approach cements holistic and sustainable developmental impacts in the subregion and beyond.

Mekong Sustainable Supply Chains Transformation and Advancement (Mekong Sustain) |
As part of the project, the web based IT System platform is developed to assess, monitor and evaluate the decarbonization plan of the project’s companies. The objective of the IT system creation is to track the progress of each registered companies in relation to their ESG performance with a focus on Environmental target. |

Promoting Creative Industry for Heritage Tourism Development in the Mekong Region |
A digital platform will be created and developed as store house of information related to Heritage tourism in the Mekong region. The platform will include core features on creative industries, traditional practices, rituals, virtual reality (VR), AI algorithm, chatbots and itineraries for sustainable heritage tourism in selected 5 target heritage sites across Mekong countries. |

Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Promotion for intra-regional Trade in the Lancang-Mekong Region (LMC) |
A web portal of EZ information in the Lancang-Mekong countries for investors is developed with an aim to promote EZs and their developments and provide essential information about existing economic zones in the LM countries. The system contained of data and information on SEZs for management, promotion and, compliance to rules and regulations of particular SEZs, incentive scheme, infrastructure and transport, facilities, services and labour supplies in each economic zone. To ensure that the information is updated and upgraded, a project activity will design a new look-and-feel to the web and unlock the potential functionalities of the current portal while displaying the content in a more organized, attractive and user-friendly manner. |

Transport and Logistics Information System in Lancang-Mekong counties |
The Transport and Logistics Information system will be designed and developed with an aim to streamline and enhance the transport information networks, and develop an integrated transport information platform with an effective information sharing mechanism among the LMC. The system consists of five main modules on i. main framework, ii. Data Bank module, iii. Map module, iv. Navigation Module and v. Vehicle and trailer status monitoring Module. |
Main deliverables, Responsibilities, and Tasks
The IT System Integration Specialist will support the effective development, maintenance, and integration of project-related digital platforms and tools. This role complements the responsibilities of the Technical Consultant and Technical Field Coordinators by ensuring that IT systems are responsive to operational, monitoring, and user support needs. Note: While the technical design of the platform is led by the external IT consultant, the IT System Integration Specialist is responsible for day-to-day functionality, integration with programmatic content, and user support across operational levels.
