Communications and Social Media Workforce Service

March - May 2025

 

Background

The Advocacy, Communication, Campaigns, and Media (ACCM) department is dedicated to supporting the development and implementation of advocacy, communication, and campaign strategies for Save the Children Thailand (SCT). This is a critical endeavor as it involves strategic engagement with the public to both raise awareness of child-related issues and raise the visibility of SCT.

The selected candidate will be an experienced individual responsible for supporting the production and development of social media content and communication materials necessary for engaging with the public, donors, stakeholders, government bodies, beneficiaries, and Save the Children staff members. This will encompass a range of formats, including written, multimedia, social media, and digital assets, in both Thai and English languages. The main focus will be managing Save the Children Thailand’s online presence, ensuring that our digital and social media platforms are active, engaging, and regularly monitored and updated. The role also involves ensuring that our online touch-points accurately and strategically communicate our vision, branding, and country ACCM goals.

Additionally, the Communication and Social Media Workforce Service will support communications requirements of Bangkok-based projects, and assist the Communications and Multimedia Coordinator in several tasks as required.

Produce content for SCT’s online communication channels 

  1. Develop a work plan and timeline for social media activities.
  2. Analyze social media trends using social listening tools.
  3. Collect content from project teams and experts to feature on our social media platforms.
  4. Update social media and website content activities according to the timeline.

Programme and general communication support

  1. Work closely with CM Coordinator to support projects and SCT’ visibility and communication activities.
  2. Collaborate with the Global Content Hub to ensure that SCT’s case studies, content, and photos are updated on the content hub.
  3. Support communication tasks such as coordinating with supply chain and suppliers on communications materials and related logistics.

-ACCM workplan is actively updated and monitored.

-All processes and materials required by the Programme team are effectively implemented and produced throughout the period.

-All PR and PO are issued and coordinated.

Management

This position will report to Communications and Multimedia Coordinator, with the Head of Communications and Engagement overseeing.

Time frame

The work schedule is from Monday to Friday for 5 days a week, totaling 20 days per month, starting from March to May 2025. It is expected that the personnel will be present at the office 2-3 days a week, and no additional transportation cost to the office will be reimbursed. Working outside of the office may be required according to emerging events or activities.
 

Payment

The workforce service fee will be a monthly rate of THB 30,000.00 (for 20 workdays per month). The rate per day is 1,500 baht.

 

Qualification:

 

  1. Experience in producing engaging written and multimedia content for social media and website, with an ability to test, analyze and update content strategy based on emerging trends.
  2. Be social media-savvy, with knowledge and experience in analyzing trends and managing social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
  3. Ability to uphold all Save the Children policies and procedures, especially with respect to child safeguarding, anti-harassment, counter-fraud, and safety and security.
  4. Excellent personal organization skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  5. Excellent Thai and English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  6. Willingness to travel to project sites (Mae Sot, Deep South, and more) if needed.
  7. Experience in using Wix and Canva a plus.
  8. Experience in using social listening tools a plus.
