Role Overview

The Program Assistant will assist with coordination, administrative and logistical supports of all activities under the Human Rights Research and Policy Analysis Unit. Under the Program Officer, the Program Assistant will work to support in maintaining and updating relevant files and documents, procuring supplies needed, and coordinating and planning of meetings and consultations. The Program Assistant will also assist in communication with all stakeholders and community partners and assist in the coordination of training and technical assistance activities.

 

Core Accountability & Responsibility

1. Perform day-to-day administrative, logistical, and coordination duties
2. Participate in the development of all relevant documents
3. Coordinate and plan all internal and external meetings
4. Communicate with sites and partners about meeting needs and plans
5. Make logistics arrangements (e.g. catering, travel, accommodations)
6. Prepare meeting summaries and minutes
7. Coordinate and plan training and technical assistance with sites and partners 
8. Communicate with sites and partners about training needs and plans
9. Procure all necessary supplies
10. Perform other tasks as assigned.
 

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Law, Criminal Justice, Journalism, History, Psychology, Human Rights, or other related fields
2. Minimum of one year of experience in working on public health or rights service programs
3. Recent graduates from a related field with exceptional skills and relevant work history will also be considered
4. Working knowledge of HIV and related health issues in relation to key populations and human rights
5. Ability to prioritize tasks
6. Ability to prepare reports for internal and external communication
7. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Thai and English to groups and individuals in a professional and timely manner
