Consultant on Connectivity Conservation Data Analysis

Background

Overview 
The consultant will be responsible for wildlife monitoring, research fieldwork, and database, and supporting the development of a presentation/technical report on the results of the 
project as well as others relevant to the Connectivity Conservation project (additional duties are below). 


Contractor duties 
• Assist in planning the monitoring of diversity mammal and bird species for use in reporting to support the declaration of a Non-Hunting Area as an important habitat for wildlife within the Tenasserim corridor; 
• Assist in interpreting land use conditions within the Tenasserim corridor to plan for potential wildlife habitat; 
• Assist in planning to monitor and calculate the density of ungulates that are prey for tigers to plan the management of areas that can support ungulates; 
• Assist in maintaining wildlife database and data analysis; 
• Analyse research results and report writing; 
• Coordinate logistics with protected area staff/ WWF field team; 
• Assist in the development and implementation of the project’s research and survey; 
• Other duties as identified. 

Output/deliverable of performance and schedule 
The consultant will be expected to produce: 
a) A monthly report comprises; 
• mammals and birds database analysis results, 
• land use conditions within the Tenasserim corridor to plan for potential wildlife habitat and 
• calculating the density of ungulates to plan the management of areas that support ungulates.
