Job Title:        Thai Language Teacher
(2 Positions)

Location:        Mae Sot, Tak Province, Thailand


Travel Requirements:          Domestic


Length of Contract: Probationary period of 3 months, with a 9-month extension. Annual renewable contract thereafter depending on monitoring and evaluation


Benefits:

• Starting salary of 10,000 THB, increasing post successful probationary period

Responsibilities

Job Specific:

• Teach Thai language primarily to upper secondary students
• Develop and submit comprehensive lesson plans, aiding future teacher preparations

• Participate in teacher training sessions
• Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment during class
• Manage class resources and submit expense receipts for reimbursement
• Facilitate personalized learning experiences to foster student engagement
• Assess and document student progress
• Assign and evaluate homework, assignments, and tests while maintaining accurate records
• Serve as a role model for students pursuing higher education

General:

• Undertake other ad-hoc duties as required

Position Requirements

Education:

• Degree in teaching or relevant field from a university, or equivalent certification
• Bachelor’s degree in teaching or relevant field from a Thai university

Skills/Knowledge/Aptitude:

• Proficiency in teaching methods for the Thai language
• Clear communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Previous teaching experience
• Familiarity with school or learning center registration processes
• Basic English proficiency
• Knowledge of Burmese or Karen language considered advantageous
