DEG is a Thai-registered Social Enterprise that emerged as a spin-off from Baan Dek Foundation. It collaborates with BDF's Women Empowerment Program to enhance skills and generate additional income for marginalized women and mothers in urban slums, producing customizable products as an alternative to traditional corporate gifts.

Your Mission:

As the Production and Women Empowerment Project Officer, your main responsibilities include:

​​​​​​​Women's Empowerment Program (WEP) - Key Responsibilities: 

- Identify training needs and assist in developing training programs under the supervision of the WEP Manager.

- Collaborate with the WEP Team for outsourcing new Secondary Layers producers.

- Ensure home-based production through workstation installation and training.

- Capacity building - Provide training to fulfill orders for women with varying skill levels.

​​​​​​​Dao Ethical Gifts (DEG) - Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with DEG/DEG Production Officer to support the sustainability of women involved in the project.

- Coordinate the entire production process, from order fulfillment to shipping.

- Create product prototypes and maintain a list of product samples and descriptions.

- Source and purchase materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

- Coordinate and oversee product training initiatives.

- Manage outreach to producers, coordinating their workload and ensuring quality control.

- Coordinate administrative and logistical aspects, including contracts and payment procedures.

- Proactively build a network of reliable fabric suppliers and manage inventory.

- Facilitate product training for DEG producers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

- Integrate quality checks at every stage of the production process.

Dao Ethical Gifts (DEG) - ความรับผิดชอบหลัก:

- ประสานงานกับเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายผลิตของ DEG/DEG เพื่อสนับสนุนความยั่งยืนของผู้หญิงที่เกี่ยวข้องในโครงการ

- ประสานงานกระบวนการผลิตทั้งหมดตั้งแต่การปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งซื้อไปจนถึงการจัดส่ง

- ประสานงานด้านการบริหารและลอจิสติกส์ รวมถึงสัญญาและขั้นตอนการชำระเงิน

- สร้างเครือข่ายซัพพลายเออร์ผ้าที่เชื่อถือได้และจัดการสินค้าคงคลังในเชิงรุก

- อำนวยความสะดวกในการฝึกอบรมผลิตภัณฑ์สำหรับผู้ผลิต DEG เพื่อให้มั่นใจในการปฏิบัติตามมาตรฐานคุณภาพ

- บูรณาการการตรวจสอบคุณภาพในทุกขั้นตอนของกระบวนการผลิต

Qualifications:

Nationality: Thai

Education/Experience: Any relevant to the job position

Language Skills: Fluent in Thai; English communication skills required (knowledge of Burmese or Thai Yai languages is an asset).

- Experience in women empowerment, social development, community development,  and related fields.

- Knowledge of SMEs, social enterprise, selling, fashion design, or product design

-  Sewing or handicraft skills are considered assets.

- Community activity organizing skills, especially related to women and children.

- Computer skills: Proficient in MS and other design software.

- Experience with NGOs or Civil Society is an asset.

Position Summary: Baan Dek Foundation seeks a knowledgeable and talented individual for the role of Production and Women Empowerment Project Officer. Reporting to the DEG Manager and co-supervised by the WEP Manager, the position is based in Chiang Mai and Bangkok, requiring close collaboration with both teams.
