Terms of Reference for Intern – Communications

Position Information

• Position: Intern: Graphic Design
• Supervisor: Communication and Social Media Manager
• Trainers: Creative Content Officer and Communication Design Officer
• Duration of internship: Min 3 months (longer missions are encouraged)
• Propose starting date: Depending on opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development of visual assets, including but not limited to infographics, posters, banners, social media graphics, and reports.
• Collaborating with the communication team to ensure visual consistency and alignment with our organization's brand identity..
• Designing materials for fundraising campaigns, events, and other promotional activities.
• Creating engaging visuals for our website, social media platforms, and email newsletters.
• Assisting in the production and editing of multimedia content, such as videos and animations.
• Conducting research on design trends and innovative approaches to enhance our visual communication strategies.
• Working closely with the team to understand project requirements and deliver designs that effectively convey our messages.
• Contributing creative ideas and participating in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative design concepts.
• Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines and documentation for UI elements.

Profile Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
• Interest in nonprofit organization and charitable activities
• Good command of English is considered as an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Demonstrable portfolio showcasing creative and impactful design work.
• Knowledge of web design principles and experience with UI/UX concepts is a plus.
