Call for Proposals for Researcher

 

Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit
an International NGO announces for its Myanmar Country Project the position of a

International Researcher (September 2015 to April 2016)
The researcher is expected to submit the following deliverables:

 • A research framework including a sound methodology, literature review, and all necessary           accompanying data collection documents (i.e. survey questionnaires, FGD questions, etc.)
 • Design and facilitate one concept development workshop
 • Design and facilitate one workshop to train Myanmar teams of local researchers and interviewers
 • Training reports and supporting documents for the above two workshops
 • Provide guidance to Myanmar local research and interviewers teams during the time of data collection. If required, the communication with the local teams will be facilitated with the help of FNF.
 • Well-written, reader-friendly, comprehensive, inclusive, participatory, accurate research findings complied into one report for publication
 • An article summarizing research findings to be offered for publication in the media in Myanmar


Qualifications:
 • Academic background or equivalent work experience in political sciences and/or related fields
 • Extensive experience in the development of research methodology
 • Excellent English writing skills
 • Experience of working in Asia with understanding of Myanmar context (social, economic and political)
 • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints and meet deadlines.
 • Understanding of international and development policies;
 • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
 • Excellent skills in standard software programmes;
 • Willingness to conduct business travels to Myanmar;
