The Borderland Health Foundation (BHF) is a non-for-profit, non-religious and non-political organization, registered in Thailand. BHF links to field stations of the Mahidol-Oxford University Research Unit (SMRU Clinics) which are located in Mae Sot, Mae Ramat, Phro Phra, Tha Song Yang and Umphang districts in Tak province, Thailand. BHF works with marginalized populations along Thailand-Myanmar border by focusing on health care services and public health issues with its focus on malaria, tuberculosis, and maternal and child health.

Job title: Administrative Assistant

Supervisor:  Administrator/Chief Operating Officer

Supervisee: None

Location: Mae Sot

Starting date:  As soon as possible

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist administrator for coordination of the donors and guest visit
  • Assist administrator or other departments for communication with Thai government sectors and partners
  • Assist staff traveling and accommodation booking and liaison with logistic team while transportation needed.
  • Prepare and follows-up the sites access authorizations process for travel documents of patient referrals and Sites staff travel for training and special activities.
  • Prepare and follow the authorizations needed, as for pharmacy delivery to cross border or other and specific logistic deliveries.
  • Assist in drafting the rental contracts (building, land, car, construction, etc.)
  • Written translation of any type of documents from/to Thai/Karen/English (official letters incoming & outgoing, minutes, etc.).
  • Support on meeting arrangements, room booking and taking minutes as requested by supervisor.
  • In charge for Travel arrangement for staff and visitor including booking tickets, accommodation arrangement and liaison with logistic team for local transportation.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by supervisors and/or line manager.

Qualification:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Management, Social science or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in administrative/operational management or office support
  • Fluent in Thai, English, Karen and/or Burmese
  • Good command in written and verbal of Thai, English, Karen and/or Burmese language
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure, and attention to detail
