Background of the project
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is at work in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future and strength-en their communities. The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces
Scope of work: The Supply Chain Assistant based in Mae Sot, Tak Province, provide supply chain services in the area of Procurement Management. The responsibilities are included.
• Assist in Purchasing all supplies and equipment based on Purchase Requests (PR) for Mae Sot and Umphang field office and ensure procurement processes follow IRC Thailand-Local procurement thresholds.
• Assist Supply Chain staff in photocopying and scanning all procurement documents for Mae Sot office.
• Assist Supply Chain Staff in maintaining and updating document filling system.
• Assist Supply Chain Staff to get invoice, receive, check, and record delivery of supplies from all vendors.
• Assist in performing inventory cycle count, annual physical and grant ending inventory, and report including with any discrepancy.
• Assist in correctly tagging of all assets following Asset and Inventory Report.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Deliverables:
The deliverable of this job is a complete an assignment on responsible for Operations and
Program activities. Ensuring all processes of supplies comply with the IRC’s code of conduct and policy, manage files and documentation with standard rule and regulation.
Submit complete timesheet to supervisor on a monthly basis.
Payment Rate and Schedule:
Payment shall be made by the IRC upon IRC’s receipt and acceptance of Provider’s invoice and/or successful completion of services by Provider and acceptance by IRC management staff, to be paid by bank transfer by the end of each month. IRC may withhold for taxes 3% as re-quired by law and shall provide withholding certificates to the contractor.
Requirements:
Education:
• At least Diploma in Management or relevant.
Work Experience and/or Demonstrated Abilities:
• Experience in general or NGO Finance and Supply Chain is preferable.
• Ability to priorities tasks and work under pressure/ respond to urgent requests.
Skills
• Computer literate with strong word processing skills
• Strong skills in time management
• Strong skills in task prioritization
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Good communication skills/ability to work with program staff and vendors.
Language(s.)
• Good command of written and spoken English and Thai.
