JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

Job Specific

 

Role 1: HR Administration (40%)

  • Facilitates the recruitment process including complete documentations;

  • Reviews timesheets and monitoring of leaves;

  • Facilitates staff appraisals;

  • Management of personnel files and ensuring confidentiality of information;

  • Research and update to advice on relevant employment laws

  • Processing of visa and work permits

 

Role 2: As a strategic partner, contributes to the development of and the accomplishment of the organization-wide business plan and objectives. (30%)

  • Design of work positions; hiring; reward, recognition and strategic pay; performance development and appraisal systems; career and succession planning; and employee development;

  • Be accountable and responsible for cost reductions and the measurement of all HR programs and processes.

 

Role 3: The constant evaluation of the effectiveness of the organization results in the need for the HR professional to frequently champion change. Knowing how to link change to the strategic needs of the organization will minimize employee dissatisfaction and resistance to change. (20%)

  • Contributes to the organization by constantly assessing the effectiveness of the HR function

  • Sponsors change in other departments and in work practices

  • Follow and achieve the organizational mission, vision, values, goals and action plans

 

Role 4: As an employee advocate, the HR Officer plays an integral role in organizational success via his/her knowledge about and advocacy of people. This advocacy includes expertise in how to create a work environment in which people will choose to be motivated, contributing, and happy. (10%)

  • Helps establish the organizational culture and climate in which people have the competency, concern and commitment to serve partners and beneficiaries well;

  • Identify employee capacity lies development.

  • Creating team building activities

 

 

General

Education

  • Completion of a degree course

 

  • Management, Business/Public Administration or other related professions

 

Work Experience

  • At least 5-year experience demonstrating hands-on skills in Human Resources Manager functions

 

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Aptitude

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

  • Computer literacy, knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

 

 

Language(s)

  • Thai proficiency

  • English speaking, reading, and writing

  • Burmese or Karen an advantage

Motivation

  • Special interest in improving the works of grassroots organizations

  • Self-motivated, and a self –starter but able to work as part of a team

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness

 

Other

  • Familiarity with the border context, preferably Thailand-Myanmar border

  • Special interest in improving the works of grassroots organizations
