POSITION TITLE: Program and Operations Coordinator

PROJECT TITLE: Mekong Sustainability Manufacturing Alliance

REPORT TO: Chief of Party MSMA / Director ISC

LOCATION: Bangkok, Thailand

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) is a global non-profit organization that leads transformative, community-driven projects in the United States and Asia with a mission to help communities around the world address environmental, economic and social challenges to build a better future shaped and shared by all.

 

ISC is seeking a Program and Operations Coordinator to support the implementation of a USAID-funded multi-year multi-million-dollar sustainable manufacturing program in the lower Mekong Region. Aiming to strengthen the lower Mekong region as a competitive and environmentally sustainable manufacturing hub, the program features private-sector engagement to drive the adoption of improved environmental and social safeguards by factories in the food processing, electronics and textiles sectors. The program will focus primarily on Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam, with both country-specific and region-wide activities.

 

The successful candidate will work closely with the team in developing and maintaining system as well as implementing practices to ensure seamless administration and programmatic coordination and execution. Primary responsibilities include: operations planning and support project management, data capturing and analysis, event planning and logistics, and other administrative and programmatic duties.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and execute project management and progress tracking systems.

  • Assist with conducting research to support program development, including compiling information for projects, targeted outreach efforts, and constituent engagement opportunities.

  • Assist with organizing for both internal and external meetings for the project.

  • Assist with planning, organizing and coordinating including logistics management of major events, conferences, webinars and seminars.

  • Work with the team to help develop and disseminate project information as well as training materials.

  • Support team members with travel logistics requirements; including arranging flights and accommodation.

  • Support staff from other ISC offices with travel arrangements to the region including arranging visa invitation letters and other immigration requirements.

  • Assist with the preparation of grant applications, project reports, summaries, contracts and other written documents.

  • Track deadlines for the submission of grant reports and proposals and support the development and submissions process.

  • Support timely processing of invoices and other payments.

  • Other program and operations duties, as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Four to five years relevant work experience

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills that reflect a customer service focus, attention to detail, the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively synthesize and summarize information.

  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt to changes in the work environment, and manage competing demands.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a contributing team member and with people at all levels within the organization.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Google platforms, and data systems.

  • Commitment to the ISC mission and goals.
