What will you do?

As Employment Officer you will be working in a team that supports young people and caretakers in making professional and life decisions, delivers trainings, and helps them find a job or start their own business.

About you:  

• You are a dynamic team worker who is passionate about supporting people to find a job and become independent
• You are confident in public speaking and networking
• You understand what is needed in order to find a job or start a business
• You have good training or presentation skills
• You have good level of English, besides your native Thai language
• You are skilled in MS Work and Excel

Social Worker & Admin -Aran Team (1 Position) Can speak Khmer!

Are you interested in working directly with marginalized communities in Aranyaprathet? Do you enjoy being most of the time on the field and providing social services to children & youth, and their families? Then join us!

What will you do?

As a Social Worker you will be working directly with the marginalized communities of Aranyaprathet to make sure:

• Children are protected at all times from all forms of abuse
• Children are back in schools and with their families
• Youth and families are trained with skills to find jobs or start their own business    

Admin Officer that :

• Directly working with the government authorities and ensuring agreements are up to date and the relationship is strong
• Maintaining filling system for all administrative procedures
• Assets maintenance, office supply management and logistics arrangements
• Assisting the team in communication such as postage, shipping
• Ensuring the team is supported to implement best practice systems for management of human resources
• Providing direct support on Recruitment, Performance Appraisal, Training, Legal Compliance, Benefits Systems

• You are a dynamic team worker who enjoys spending time on the field because that is where the real need is
• You are passionate and excited about working directly with marginalized children, youth and families
• You are confident to talk directly to the communities and empowering them to take good care of their children
• You have great respect and understanding towards marginalized populations coming from countries around the region
• You have a good understanding of the Thai social service systems
• You speak and write Thai. And at least Burmese OR Khmer!
• You know your way around computers, typing and Internet

Friends-International (FI) is a social enterprise that works with marginalized urban children and youth, their families and communities, to help them become independent and productive citizens of their country.

FI started Peuan Peuan back in 2005, which is our program in Thailand working with migrant children from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. Our program is also working with Thai communities and supporting families with income generation projects. We have developed a holistic social integration cycle that is based on individual and community needs to achieve best practice methods directly or in collaboration with partners.
