How can you make a difference?

Support the development of the audience-centric communication materials, use digital marketing strategies to improve engagement and make efforts on smart segmentation strategy to help our team to personalize our year-round communication plans that resonate with that audience specifically, persuade them to renew their gifts, make a larger contribution and become a regular giving donor.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist the development of cash donor direct mailing and other media fundraising strategic plan for cash and pledge donors.
  • Assist in identifying new fundraising opportunities (specifically new techniques), developing plans and implementation.  Ensuring a timely and effective implementation of fundraising activities according to the approved plans.
  • Assist in organizing a day to day briefing and dealing with contractors, suppliers and relevant personnel with and/or outside the office to develop and implement cash and pledge fundraising campaign
  • Mobilizing resources, evaluate the performance of each fundraising activity, brief and scrutinize reports and presentation on expenditure and budget utilization including progress vis a vis the workplan and targets.
  • Provide administrative support such as screening incoming correspondence/ calls, arranging meetings, drafting minutes/document, maintaining and updating document repository also knowledge database.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education. University degree in related field, i.e. Marketing, Communication, Advertising preferred.
  • Minimum six years of working experience in supporting marketing campaign, advance and dynamic marketing and digital marketing with a hands-on capability on campaign development and analysis.
  • Thai Nationals only.
  • High fluency in written and spoken English and Thai required.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers and especially in word processing and spreadsheets is a must.
  • Experience in an international organization desirable, familiarity with UN systems is a plus.

UNICEF Next Generation (NextGen) is a group of young leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators in their 20s and 30s who commit their resources, resolve and enthusiasm toward supporting UNICEF’s life-saving work.  NextGen members mobilize their networks and inspire their generation to take action on behalf of the world’s most vulnerable children.

The NextGen Fundraising Associate will help build and grow NextGen by engaging with target group of young professionals, leaders, and current and future philanthropists who are committed to UNICEF’s mission. The NextGen Fundraising Associate will design and execute a marketing plan leveraging the strengths and resources of the NextGen network to promote NextGen, build the base of NextGen supporters, mobilize resources for UNICEF’s work and enhance the impact of NextGen on children’s issues in Thailand.

Under the supervision of Philanthropy Officer, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with a range of staff in the office and external parties to help develop and support NextGen activities. S/He provides regular feedback on the status of NextGen through monitoring milestones and advises on improvements to maintain the network’s momentum. 

 

Major Responsibilities

 

1. Support creation and implementation the NextGen marketing strategy:

  • Strategy: working with the UNICEF team and NextGen Champions, develop strategies to build the reach and profile of NextGen and engage new potential members and partners – through media relations, events, social media, email and other channels. 
  • Content and execution: including website development, social media content creation, leading organization of an annual UNICEF NextGen event, supporting organization of NextGen Champion-led events and activities, and other marketing tasks. Also includes reporting back to NextGen members on programmes supported through their resources and efforts.
  • Support to NextGen Champions: support in ideating, developing and where necessary executing NextGen Champion individual plans, including content approvals within UNICEF.

 

2. Support the programme by driving NextGen network cultivation:

  • Recruit new members: Achieve NextGen network expansion goals through direct and indirect recruitment efforts, including research, prospect identification, outreach and cultivation.
  • Support NextGen Champions in networking & recruitment: Directly work with NextGen Champions and their working groups to achieve their recruitment, fundraising, and programme impact goals.
  • Integrate NextGen members into broader UNICEF supporter communities: Contribute to developing strategies on how to further engage prospects and NextGen members in broader UNICEF support lifecycles. 

 

3. Support Fundraising activities and responsible for generating funding and recruiting NextGen members, supporting the Philanthropy Officer in ensuring NextGen meet its annual financial goal of 4.5 million THB.

 

4. Administration: provide administrative and necessary support relevant to the project, i.e. arranging meetings, drafting related minutes, maintaining the donor database system, etc.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Chief of Private Sector Fundraising, the incumbent will contribute to the strategic development and implementation of the Thailand Country Office (TCO) private sector strategic plan and supporter engagement strategy. They will be responsible for analysing the business results and making recommendations for optimizing the performance of the activities done to acquire, engage and retain individual supporters.  This includes the management and oversight of relationship management systems (CRM) and processes to ensure optimal efficiencies to achieve the ultimate goal of maximizing the number of new supporters acquired, engaged, retained and the related net income.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and development of data structures, dimensions and models to facilitate constant improvements in analysis and insights leading to more informed decision making.
  • Manage and perform data analysis and reporting and other relevant activities in support of optimizing fundraising opportunities and income, including making recommendations based on the results of ongoing analysis.
  • Enhance Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) efficiency and effectiveness through weekly monitoring of inputs, local conditions and resources, and campaign implementation status. Constant monitoring of Key Fundraising KPIs and campaign performance with appropriate communication, response and escalation where necessary.
  • Responsible for the deliverance of the following types of reports and analysis:
    • Tactical, day to day Fundraising reporting
    • Strategic Analytical reports driving longer term decision making
    • Regional and HQ led reporting such as QFR, RER, RDM, and IF
  • Upkeep of existing, and development of new reports and dashboards including Power BI and other tools. Constantly research and identify potential opportunities for improving data led insights.
  • Responsible for maintenance and development of data structures, dimensions and models to facilitate constant improvements in analysis and insights leading to more informed decision making.
  • Maintain database integrity by managing the integrity of donor and donation payment data and ongoing development and implementation of the CRM.
  • Collaborate with relevant internal and external partners to ensure appropriate management and security of donor information. This includes working with colleagues in UNICEF HQ to ensure global systems and processes are meeting the local needs of the fundraising program in India.
  • Accountable for development and oversight of investment fund applications across the Individual Fundraising team, monitoring fund utilization and prepare required reporting in a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage and perform the analysis of collected donor data and information and preparation of monitoring progress reports; draft changes in PFP work plans relevant to acquiring individual donors and the identification of required budget, supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for project documentation, assuring accuracy and consistency with established rules, regulations and plans of action, especially in agreed strategic plan which ensures maximum effectiveness of fund availability from new donors as well as maximum diversification of risks.
  • Work closely with PSFR colleagues across sub-sections as well as communication teams.
  • Work with project teams such as Communications (volunteers, non-financial supporters) plus the global Supporter Engagement team to articulate and define requirements, design and implementation of appropriate solutions.
  • Manage and revise as necessary the standard operating procedures for donation processing and donor database management. Adhere to UNICEF policies, procedures and compliance guidelines such as data privacy and PCI-DSS.

 

Qualifications of Successful Candidate

  • Advanced university degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Marketing, Business Administration or closely related fields is required. 

**A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2  years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.

  • A minimum of two years professional relevant experience in the field of business intelligence and data analysis, data management, and process management. Preferably in a fundraising environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce and / or other donor management systems will be a preference.
  • Proven Expertise in reports / analytical / data visualization packages such as PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos, etc.
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL / data management.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, articulate and present complex data analysis in an easy to understand format.
  • Understanding of CRM software such as Salesforce will be a preference.
  • High fluency in English and Thai is required.
  • A high level of mathematical ability.

The Private Sector Fundraising Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual contractor to support TCO partnership and fundraising objectives, achieved through the securing and management of high value corporate partnerships. The individual contractor will also support the development of partnership propositions, campaigns, and related content such as proposals and reports, as well as coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the above.

 

Work Assignment:

  1. Provide technical assistance in managing corporate partnership activities including:
    1. Under guidance of the supervisor, finalizing partnerships strategies in consultation with partners.
    2. Executing partnership activities including PR and fundraising activities.
    3. Organizing meetings, taking meeting minutes, etc. including organizing leadership level meetings.
    4. Identifying issues with the partnership, informing relevant TCO leaders, and recommending and implementing solutions to keep partnerships on track.
       
  2. Assist the section in new business activities including:
    1. Researching potential prospects for partnerships aligning with UNICEF’s mission, vision and principles.
    2. Cultivating relationships with prospects to facilitate understanding of prospect interests and opening partnership discussions.
    3. Producing proposals and conducting pitches.
    4. Negotiating and securing partnership agreements.
    5. Developing pipeline and engagement strategies for potential Blue Carpet Show for UNICEF sponsors. 
       
  3. In consultation with the supervisor and Partnerships team, provide technical knowledge in developing fundraising products including proposals, propositions, marketing materials, etc. and supporting projects and consultancies to drive the Partnerships new business strategy.

 

End Product:

  • Realization of planned partnership funding in alignment with goals of partnerships under management.
  • Securing of new business (agreements, funding) in alignment with Partnerships team New Business goals.
  • Development of partnerships marketing and fundraising products in alignment with overall Partnerships team production plans.

 

Estimated Duration of Contract:  17 May 2021 - 30 April 2022 (11.5 months).

 

Qualifications or Specialized Knowledge/Experience Required:

  1. Advanced university degree in a related field, e.g. Business Administration, Public Relations, Marketing and Communications.
  2. Five years or more professional experience in corporate advisory services, corporate sales, corporate fundraising and/or public relations activities in marketing and communication.
  3. Experience managing marketing and brand-building corporate engagements including customer fundraising, cause marketing, and charity media events.
  4. Knowledge of UNICEF and UN partnership approaches and procedures is a plus.
  5. Proficiency in the use of computers, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software is required.
  6. Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas.

All selected candidates will be expected to adhere to these standards and principles and will therefore undergo rigorous reference and background checks. Background checks will include the verification of academic credential(s) and employment history. Selected candidates may be required to provide additional information to conduct a background check.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
