ADRA Thailand is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant/Cashier (Independent Contractor) based in Mae Lao District, Chiang Rai, Thailand
Proposed Dates: 1 June 2021 – 30 September 2021
Duration: 4 months

Job overview: Project Cashier & Administrative Assistant is responsible for implementation of the project finances following the project budget. This work is carried out closely with the Project Manager, Accountant and Human Resources Department in Chiang Mai Office. The Project Cashier & Administrative Assistant is also expected to perform administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the project office.
Responsibilities:
Manage funds for project activities including Withdraw funds from the bank according to requests, updating the cashbook, and conduct monthly bank and account receivable reconciliations
Review all receipts, follow up with suppliers and ensure that all expenses and details on receipts are in line with ADRA Thailand Finance and Procurement policies and donor policies
Ensure that all supporting documents and receipts are attached to payment vouchers
Maintain the daily petty cash record and record all expenses accurately into the petty cash register
Maintain filing systems of Project’s documents
Pay office utility cost and purchase office supplies
Send and receive office mail and distribute to related persons
Assist with procurement and logistics as needed
Work closely with Procurement/Logistic Officer to ensure that required materials/equipment for activities are delivered to the project on time and according to plan
Collect and review Timesheets before submitting to Chiang Mai Office
Maintain good interpersonal relationship with the stakeholders
Travel to field to assist with project activities as required
Supporting the daily office running including purchase and stocking of office supplies and coordinating with the IT Officer for the repair and maintenance of equipment
Perform any other assignment as requested by the supervisor
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
Minimum Skills & Education Required:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor degree
Experience:
At least 1 – 2 year experience in Administrative field / Accountant or positions equal to the position responsibilities outlined above
Language Skills:
Intermediate English verbal and written language skills.
Excellent Thai verbal and written language skills
Knowledge of Hmong, Akha, Lahu and/or Lisu skills is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work in a Christian context
Ability to work under pressure and multitask
Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision
Must have strong operational management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle work efficiently and accurately under time constraints
Strong computer skills (Including Microsoft Office proficiency)
Understanding of diversity in working environment
Valid driving license is required
