Contract: Open Ended Contract

 

Location: Bangkok

The Role

Asia Service Desk Manager will be supporting to provide specialist technical advice on one significant area or several related areas to support the delivery of global service desk operation, and if appropriate take responsibility for the organizational management of staff.

S/he will be responsible to provide a Single Point of Contact, at an operational level, for the delivery of ‘live’ IS services and maintain relationships with all business divisions and meet or exceed customer expectations in the delivery of IS services.

 

What we are looking for

Our Asia Service Desk Manager will require to be exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam's values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • Education to degree level in computing related such as Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineer (or courses with a major computing subjects).
  • Proven track records of the supervision of staff especially in IT Service Desk and managing a virtual team.
  • Relevant experience in infrastructure support, desktop management environment, security software, data security management & GDPR, Microsoft O365, remote support tools, etc.
  • Proven success at management to motivate, develop and support others and/or at technical problem solving.
  • Successfully influences/negotiates with senior business managers to implement solutions to operational business needs.
  • Certification of ITIL, SDI (Service Desk Institute) will add value to the role.

Excellent English communication skills and an ability to communicate technical directions in simple, clear language including management presentation in both speaking and writing
