Diakonia is a Swedish non-profit and non-political organization for international development cooperation and humanitarian assistance. Diakonia supports more than 400 partner organisations in 25 countries – in Africa, Asia. Latin America and the Middle East. Fundamental thematic areas for Diakonia are democracy, gender equity, human rights, conflict and justice and social and economic justice.
The Asia Regional Office is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Diakonia Asia Regional Office is recruiting a Regional PME and Programme Development Officer
Placement: Chiang Mai, Thailand, but international travel will be required.
Duration: Permanent
Planned starting date: April 2020
Report to: Regional Director
We believe that you are a skilled and experienced to provide planning, monitoring, evaluation and programme development support to projects and programmes implemented in Asia. You will be working in the regional office to support the Regional Director, the Regional Management Team as well as programme colleagues working in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand, to implement our regional PME and programme development. This includes working with the administrative and international departments in the head office in Stockholm, Sweden as the link between regional PME and the global PME structure of Diakonia.
The work is under delegation and supervision by the Regional Director and part of the regional team.

This position is open to Thai nationals and Thailand based expatriates.
