Responsibilities of the advertised position:

BDF is seeking a visual communication officer to help support the communication team in their daily work. The position will work under the direct supervision of the Communication Coordinator. The main responsibilities of this role will include the following: 

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to:

1. Edit and create communication materials for Baan Dek Foundation’s external/internal communications:

• Photography: daily activities, documentation of projects, creating a photo database based on current needs
• Video editing
• Editorial design: reports, posters, leaflets, flyers, boards, etc.
• Graphic design/illustration: developing materials for projects
• Product/packaging design: support social business needs
• Audio recordings and video editing related to specific projects
• Digital design: editing website, newsletters, email signatures, etc.

2. Production of all the materials received (occassionaly support the admin team in printing process).
3. Support in organizing translation of documents and communication materials related to the activity of the Foundation (Thai / English, English / Thai and to / from other languages through external contributors) according to requests from the management team.
4. Support the management team in day-to-day missions and projects.
5. Participation in local projects developed by the Baan Dek Foundation: Support the team with field activities dedicated to the development of children’s self-expression and creativity.

Required skills:

Nationality:  Thai  (or any legal resident of Thailand.  We are unable to provide a visa and work permit for this role).

Language: Native Thai, fluent spoken and written English (knowledge of Thai-Yai, Burmese or Khmer considered an asset).

Qualifications: Preferably a degree in Graphic Design or other related discipline.

Working knowledge: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere and others).

Professional experience in graphic design, videography, photography and illustration is strongly recommended.

Experience with children, non-profit organizations, or in the humanitarian sector is considered an asset.

Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday with occasional weekend + evenings.

Salary & Compensation: Starting at 15,000 THB (to be defined based on experience and qualifications).
