Partnerships Officer

Baan Dek Foundation (BDF) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization based in Bangkok & Chiang Mai. BDF supports access to essential services for more than 1,500 vulnerable children and their families living in construction sites and slums. Through specifically tailored educational programs and flexible individual support, Baan Dek protects endangered children, enables families to become self-sustainable and provides opportunities for a better future.

Responsibilities of the advertised positions:

BDF is seeking a new staff member to help expand its partnerships and fundraising. The position will work under direct supervision of the Partnerships Manager and Director of Partnerships. The main responsibilities of this role will include the following:  

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to: 

  1. Develop, establish, maintain and build partnerships in Thailand and abroad for fundraising as well as non-financial forms of support. Main responsibilities include: conducting ongoing prospection of new opportunities, networking with donors to build strategic relationships which uphold BDF’s mission, drafting proposals for developing and/or expanding programs with new donors, and working with the BDF Communications team to develop materials (ex. PowerPoint presentations, brochures, videos, etc.) to facilitate communication with partners.

  2. Support financial organization and activities related to partnerships. Main responsibilities include: working closely with colleagues to understand funding needs and prioritize partnerships accordingly, coordinating all financial information related to partnerships, and working closely with the Financial Coordinator to draft program budgets that will be proposed to partners. 

Required skills:

Nationality:  Thai  

Language: Fluent spoken and written English. Fluent Thai language

 

Qualifications: Significant fundraising experience and business or marketing/communications (or relevant field). 

 

Experience working with children (or for an organization that supports children) is considered an asset. Strong social commitment, excellent analytical skills, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to work and live in a multi-cultural environment. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, flexible and interested in fundraising that supports social work.

  • Dynamic, creative, and demonstrates proven skills to work and engage with children.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to provide and receive positive criticism in a sensitive manner.

  • Highly motivated, flexible and interested in humanitarian missions.

  • Reliable and respectful of local culture.

Working hours:  Full time - Monday to Friday with occasional weekend + evenings

Salary: Starting at 25,000 THB (to be defined based on experience and qualifications)
