ADRA Thailand is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Field Coordinator based in Mae Chan, Chiang Rai, Thailand for Stateless Ethnic Minority Health and Integration Project (SHIP).

Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Field Coordinator, will plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the different project activities in close coordination. He/she is responsible for the registration, training, delivering inputs to beneficiaries, in addition to ensuring that the project deliverables are timely and at a high standard. The Field Coordinator will promote community participation in different project activities and be responsible for leading the project in the field. The Field Coordinator is required to frequently travel to the field in Mae Fa Luang District. 

 

 

REPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Help organize developmental activities for young children below the age of 5 years and further promote children’s learning according to their developmental stages.
  • Train teacher from day care centres and caretakers in target communities on child development and care
  • Collection of relevant data and participation in project intervention.
  • Attend regular coordination meetings with community leaders, government offices and stakeholder groups
  • Supervise and coordinate the field team and provide proper guidance and plan to ensure smooth workflow
  • Active liaison and coordination with relevant stakeholders to avoid any conflict.
  • Provide bi-weekly and monthly field activity reports
  • Coordinate with the Statelessness Reduction and Community Sensitization Project on project implementation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

 

Educational Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Social Sciences or related field

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field office position, preferably in humanitarian NGOs

 

Language Skills:

  • Fluent in Thai language
  • Able to speak local languages is a plus

 

 

 

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a Christian context
  • Experience working with community groups
  • Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking
  • Ability to interact in a sensitive and diplomatic way
  • High level of flexibility and self-motivation
  • Experience in preparing reports
