TERMS OF REFERENCE
THAI TRANSLATOR FOR THE REPORT ON THE ROUTE OF MIGRATION FROM MYANMAR AND CAMBODIA TO THAILAND
Plan International (Plan) is implementing a four-year project, Fostering Accountability in Recruitment for Fishery Workers (FAIR Fish), to reduce forced labor and human trafficking (FL/HT) in the recruitment of women and men in the seafood processing sector in Thailand to support the United States Department of Labor (DOL) Bureau of International Labor Affairs’ (ILAB) Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking (OCFT). To increase understanding of forced labor and human trafficking in the recruitment of workers among relevant stakeholders, the project conducted produced a report on the route of migration from Myanmar and Cambodia to Thailand. The report covers chapters on profiles of migrant workers, recruitment procedures, migration routes, and potential risks to forced labor and human trafficking.
The translator is required to submit the following deliverables in MS Word and PDF files, using Cordia New font at size of 16 points to Plan International as follows:
4.1 At least a Bachelor’s degree
4.2 Prior experience in the translation of documents from English into Thai, especially issues related to migration of Myanmar and Cambodian workers
Fees will be paid upon the satisfactory completion of the deliverables as previously specified in Item no. 3.
1) CV in English,
2) 1-2 samples of the previous translation work
3) a quotation indicating the translation rate in Thai baht per English word in the original document
