Back ground of the study
Under USAID Okard, the Ministry of Health, Department of Healthcare and Rehabilitation (DH&R) will receive financial and technical support to implement the National Rehabilitation Strategy (2018-2025). This will include utilizing the WHO Rehabilitation Support Package to strengthen the health system to provide rehabilitation. The consultant is requested to support the Ministry of Health to implement the Rehabilitation Maturity Model (RMM) as part of the Standard Assessment of Rehabilitation Systems (STARS) to gain a better understanding of the current situation of the rehabilitation system in Lao PDR.
Study/Research objectives
· Conduct the in-country assessment utilizing the Rehabilitation Maturity Model (RMM) assessment
Methodology
Review of key documents on rehabilitation in Lao PDR (including PT curricula), and relevant USAID Okard documents. Conduct in-country assessment site visits, conduct the Rehabilitation Maturity Model (RMM) and complete analysis using data of the Rehabilitation Capacity Questionnaire (RCQ) and site visits.
