“Child Right Monitoring Form”

I. Introduction

Plan Thailand aims to strengthen the collaboration of Child-right based Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in Thailand to ensure the best interest of the child as stated in United Nations Child Right Conventions. Working alone cannot make it happen, therefore, it is important all NGOs have a platform to understand each other works and objectives. Many projects and mandates are similar amongst NGOs in this field and instead of competing each other; we would better collaborate and share experience and resources. CRC Coalition Thailand has been established and conducted the 1^st General Assembly in June 2014. Plan Thailand try to keep the momentum and finally received the funding from SIDA to continue its activities decided in the 1^st meeting. With this funding, Coalition can even create more initiatives to ensure its mission and vision completed.

For the purpose of monitoring system and implementing, Children's rights monitored and reported on (Outcome 2), CRC Coalition Thailand Steering Committee has decided to have CRM tools for general data and for incident cases from NGO Coalition on the Right of the Child (NGOCRC) as for collecting data to cover UNCRC indicators for UNCRC reporting mechanism. “Child Rights Monitoring Form” by NGO Coalition on the Right of the Child (NGOCRC) will be very useful tools for children monitoring system of CRC Coalition Thailand and it will need to be translated from Khmer to Thai.

Objective of the TOR

• To ensure that the information with in “Child Rights Monitoring Form” by NGO Coalition on the Right of the Child (NGOCRC) are proper translate from Khmer to Thai
• To ensure that CRC Coalition Thailand will have the translated content within 15 November 2018 to be used as child right data collection and incident cases report

2. To translate all content within “Child Rights Monitoring Form” by NGO Coalition on the Right of the Child (NGOCRC) and easy-to-read with proper language use.
3. To write and submit the translated content in desirable format

• Deliverables/output
• Translation of “Child Rights Monitoring Form” from Khmer to Thai for 28 pages and Submitted by 15 November 2018

6 weeks (3 October 2018 to 15 November 2018)

1. Qualifications

• Knowledge and skill in Khmer and Thai for proper translation.
• Experiences in Child-right, especially UNCRC Reporting mechanism
• Have Degree in Social Science or studying in Social Science fields or Communications (preferable)
