EMPLOYMENT OFFER – Administrative Officer / Assistant 

Baan Dek Foundation is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious, organization based in Chiang Mai that supports over 1000 children in need and their families living in construction sites and slums. Through specifically tailored educational programs and flexible individual support, Baan Dek protects endangered children, allows families to become self-sustainable and gives opportunities for a better future.

By the end of this year, we plan to open a branch of Baan Dek Foundation in Bangkok where we hope to expand our current services to support the most vulnerable children.

Administrative Officer / Assistant

Administration & Office Management Unit.

Base in Bangkok, Thailand

Expected Start Date: 

1 November 2018 (Training in Chiang Mai to be considered for a few weeks at the beginning)

Office Location:

BDF 's office is located near Eakkami BTS station.

Responsibilities of the advertised positions:

 

Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for professional and dedicated local Administrative Officer/ Assistant who would like to get committed to supporting vulnerable children and communities living in the area of Chiang Mai and Bangkok. The position will work under direct supervision of the Director of PR and HR. in Chiang Mai and Management Position in Bangkok

 The main objective of Baan Dek Foundation's team is to help vulnerable children and their families to solve social and economic issues in daily life, allowing the families to reach sustainability and ensuring every child access to Education, Health and Safety the well-being of their kids.

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to: (Accounting, Admin, HR.)

1.      Coordinating organizational administration, maintaining file and document organization (including contracts, visas, work permits, criminal record checks, and driving licenses)

2.      Supporting the Human Resource process

3.      Conducting translation of official documents and field materials between Thai and English.

4.      Support financial organization and activities. Manage and monitor the financial and accounting system. Process all accounting entries;

5.      Assist partnership and fundraising in developing networks and relation with partners and stakeholders (private and public), participating to fairs and presentations event.

6.      Participate and assist in Baan Dek Foundation’s projects including field activities with children.

7.      Generally providing assistance with any task as per the needs of the organization and the management team.

Required skills:

Nationality: Thai

Qualifications:

Degree or experience in the relevant field (administration, office management, Accounting, secretarial work.

Minimum 1 years of experience in the field of partnership, public relation or office administration is required. And Experience in Thai English document translation/positions related to NGO or social work are considered.

Language skills: Fluent Thai (spoken and written) and English proficient speaking and writing skills. Burmese, and/or Khmer (spoken and written) considered as assets.

Other skills/interests: committed to social work/child welfare, dedication for non-profit work, communication and human relations skills, teamwork ability, flexibility on working hours, tolerance & human values, highly motivated, positive energy & spirit, ability to work autonomously, ability to understand family situation and conduct assessments.

Working hours:  Full time - Monday to Friday (flexible schedule) and  occasionally on weekend + evenings

Salary: Starting 20,000 THB (To be defined based on experience and qualifications. Complementary advantages provided (transportation & phone allowance, etc.)
