Position: Data Entry Operator
Reports to (Functional): Mental Health Activity Manager
Background of the project:
Doctors without Borders Thailand (DWBT) is a Thai organization working to strengthen the existing mental health system and increase access to mental health services in Thailand. The project is based in Pattani and has recently expanded to Yala and later to Narathiwat.
DWBT is neutral, impartial and is solely medical in nature with no religious, political or human rights objectives.
Main Purposes
Carry out all activities related to entry of medical data into the project database, according to Doctors Without Borders’s protocols and maintaining confidentiality, in order to have reliable and up to date information.
Accountabilities
- Enter medical, operational and context data in mission’s database on a regular basis and according to DWBT’s protocols.
- Participate in compilation of data both from DWBT structures and from collaborating health facilities.
- Participate in the search for missing data.
- Update files of existing patients and make any corrections needed.
- Make regular back-ups of all data processed.
- Look after all equipment provided and keep recording area clean and tidy, giving special importance to all patient files.
- Report any issue concerning data management to superior
- Elaborate statistical reports when required by the medical team.
- Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered.
- Entering Events from the security meeting into the events follow-up (EFU) Data Base and distributing them to psycho-social workers (PSWs), based on specifications from Mental Health Activity Manager and in direct collaboration with the Mental Health Activity Manager and the Health Promotion Supervisor (HP-S), as well as providing the Mental Health Activity Manager and the HP-S with the distribution of events on a weekly basis.

Requirements
- Education: Preference for university degree in applied mathematics, sciences (mathematics), and other related fields.
- Experience:
- Desirable experience in data and information management
- Desirable experience in quantitative data collection and analysis
- Experience in medical and other related fields is preferable
- Languages: Fluency in English and Thai both written and spoken, Malayu, an added advantage
- Knowledge:
- Essential computer literacy (word, advanced level of excel and other related program)
- Able to learn and use software used for recording (i.e. Fuchia, EpiInfo, etc.)
Remuneration and other benefits: 20,974 THB per month, 13th month pay, and health and others benefit package.
