Role overview

You will lead development and utilisation of a robust MEL system aligned to VSO’s People First Strategy, Core Programmes, Core Approaches and SDGs’ leaving no one behind agenda.

You will develop and adapt tools for country offices to generate relevant, credible data that seamlessly connect signature programmes in the country offices with the global results framework.

Skills, qualifications and experience

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject; specialisation in one or more MEL areas is an advantage.
• Extensive experience in a similar, senior role
• Successful experience of setting up and/or managing high quality MEL systems
• Ability to lead and provide trainings in complex MEL processes
• Highly competent and experienced in research and evaluation with up to date knowledge in MEL.
• Ability and initiative for cross-team collaboration for better data functionality and credibility
• Ability to actively lead and accompany a team to manage competing work priorities and deliver on MEL.
• Relevant IT skills; experience and skills in some relevant quantitative and qualitative data analysis software packages e.g. SPSS, Atlas.ti
• Experience in the development and use of participatory methodology/ tools in M&E
