We are looking for a qualified individual to join the team in Thailand as Campaign Manager - Animals in Farming

Main Purpose of the Role

The Campaign Manager leads the local implementation and tactical delivery of the global farming campaign. Working as part of a globally integrated virtual campaign team, the Campaign Manager develops inspiring and innovative projects which realise the campaign strategy, manages all project activity and is the central point of contact for organisational activity relating to the campaign implementation and projects in Thailand. The Campaign Manager is expected to promote a culture of campaigning in order to increase World Animal Protection’s impact, influence and profile, and support colleagues to do the same.

Duties and Responsibilities

Functional

  • Communicate World Animal Protection’s positions and messages to external and internal audiences, including public fora, the media, political, economic and other actors to promote key messages and further campaign and specific project objectives.
  • Deliver the project goals in co-operation with the globally integrated virtual campaign team and other relevant staff.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with a network of key external stakeholders relevant to the execution of campaign strategy and specific project objectives.
  • Communicate and strategically engage with target corporate and government stakeholders.
  • Support research on specific campaign issues. Provide expertise with respect to policy advocacy and corporate engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of campaign reports and fundraising materials in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of issues relating to the campaign, identifying opportunistic campaign amplification and actions.

Organisational 

  • Work cooperatively with external organisations, teams within World Animal Protection and in the wider animal welfare movement to pursue project objectives and wider organisational goals, including those relating to brand, communications, fundraising and resource management.
  • Actively participate in building our brand and maintain the integrity of our brand to support our profile, lead generation, income and engagement.
  • Contribute to a learning culture and create a positive working environment.
  • The role holder will from time to time be required to undertake any other duties that are within the scope of this role.
  • Take responsibility for their own health, safety and welfare, comply with H&S policy and procedures, and not act in any way that compromises the safety of themselves, colleagues or the public.
  • The post holder will be required to travel national and internationally to provide support or participate in World Animal Protection’s activities.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of working experience in relevant fields.
  • A track record of effective campaign development and delivery.
  • Strong research and analytical ability to support campaign tactics and strategies.
  • Strong ability to deliver specific outcomes on time and within the budget.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent ability to work unsupervised in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Team player with excellent project delivery skills and ability to develop and maintain good working relationships across internal departments and teams.
  • Strong ability to constructively engage external and internal stakeholders to develop and deliver project solutions.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Thai and English.
  • Flexible to undertake national and international travels.
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Work effectively with corporate and government stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of farm animal welfare issues or experience of conservation or environmental issues.
  • Awareness of social, economic, political and environmental issues relevant to animal welfare.
  • Experience of working in an international NGO environment.

 

This Bangkok-based position is two-year, fixed-term with possibility for extension.
