THE POST:  ENGAGEMENT JOURNEY COORDINATOR

Job Summary: 

In this role, you will drive the audience experience and strategic engagement for GPSEA across projects and the organization. You will integrate a strategic direction across our supporter pathways in a way that helps the organization to achieve our objectives. You will investigate and deliver ways of inviting people to participate in our efforts, while making their experience meaningful and encouraging continued engagement.

This is a full-time position based in either Bangkok, Jakarta and or Manila. Citizens of Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties

  1. Project Strategy & Guidance
  • Develop holistic engagement strategies for projects
  • Ensure projects deliver quality engagement with specific and intended audiences
  • Design and/or support engaging user experiences based on project targets for different types of audiences
  • Translate data analytics and results into audience needs and matching to project strategies
  • Conduct usability research to gather requirements, analyze/recommend experience, and validate prototypes with the strategic audience
  • Collaborate with Fundraising colleagues to guide strategic direction and project implementation from a user standpoint
  1. User Experience Delivery & Coordination
  • In collaboration with others, devise interaction tools, core messages, and pathway planning
  • In collaboration with others, research and maintain user interface design standards and interaction design trends
  • Present alternative solutions based on audience research, web analytics, and industry best practices
  1. Engagement Culture Development
  • Support the development and growth of a culture of engagement across GPSEA
  • Promote accessibility standards and best practices across the organization
  • Support and influence projects teams and cross-functional units on how to best engage and meet the needs of strategic audiences through integration of form and function 
  1. Other duties as directed

Educational Background & Fundamental Qualifications

Level of Education:      Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience

Field of Study:             Preferably in Media, Communications, Marketing, Business, or Community Development (or                                               relevant industry experience)

Work Experience:         Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in NGOs, Organizing, or Community Development

Competencies and Skills

  • Teamwork & Communication: Knowledge and/or experience in working with others and presenting information, ideas, and positions in a clear manner that can easily be understood across diverse and multi-cultural audiences
  • Strategic Thinking & Global Mindset: Knowledge and/or experience in addressing organizational objectives by developing calculated approaches that integrate an openness to and awareness of diversity across cultures
  • Quality: Knowledge and/or experience in meeting and surpassing requirements by setting high standards for the condition of outputs

Functional Skills          

  • Knowledge and/or experience in supporter relationship management/supporter journey communication
  • Knowledge and/or experience in activism and movement building
  • Knowledge and/or experience in using market data and trend analysis
  • Knowledge and/or experience in strategic alignment and linking the direction of units/projects to organizational objectives
  • Desirable knowledge and/or experience in designing written and visual content for diverse audiences
  • Desirable knowledge and/or experience in the media advocacy needs of a campaigning organization
  • Desirable knowledge and/or experience in fundraising
  • Strong skills in written and spoken English (required) and another regional language (desired)

Specific Work Environment

This position requires the employee to have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt and work in different and challenging work and cultural environments, which may include flexible arrangements working in challenging field and frontline work environments.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE APPLYING TO THIS POST

WORKING HOURS

Normal hours of work for full time Employee will be forty (40) per week or (5) days in a week, at 8 hours per day excluding an hour lunch break. This will be from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am to 6: 30 pm. Ordinary hours of work may be varied as agreed between staff and the line managers.

LEAVE

A permanent employee will be entitled to the following leaves:

Annual Leave: 20 days

Sick Leave:  30 days

Parental Leave:  As per labor laws and Greenpeace policy

Long Service Leave: 2 months paid leave after 5 years of continuous service

Compassionate leave: maximum of 5 days for the death of significant others 

SALARY

In determining salary offer for this position, Greenpeace applies its Salary Grading Process, taking into consideration the job description and applicant’s previous experience, and the organization’s salary grade.
