REGIONAL DIRECTOR
BPSOS and People Serving People Foundation (PSPF) are looking for a Regional Director to support and oversee their joint operations in Thailand and Southeast Asia. BPSOS is a regional civil society organization working on human rights issues affecting communities across Southeast Asia. PSPF is a young and vibrant Thai foundation that is focused on human rights, assisting vulnerable populations, and civil society development in the ASEAN region. We currently work on several projects through partnerships with local and regional CSOs. The Regional Director will be the face and voice of BPSOS and PSPF at national and regional forums, and will ensure that all objectives of our joint operations are pursued and achieved.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise all office programs and projects:
- ASEAN-focused human rights and capacity building projects
- Country specific programs and projects
- Regional and international advocacy programs and projects
- Coordination with partner organizations on joint projects
- Maintenance of partnerships and partnership development
- Direct and supervise staff and office development:
- Grant-writing and office funds development
- Development of office vision, policies, procedures, and institutional memory
- Monitoring, evaluation, and systematization of office
- Support for and supervision of local and international staff, fellows, and volunteers
Qualifications & Requirements
- A first degree in any discipline
- Fluency in English and one Southeast Asian language
- 3-5 years in human rights work and working within civil society, preferably in ASEAN
- Prior project and personnel management experience
- Background or experience related to human rights advocacy
- Experience working with a diverse and international team
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of international human rights law and UN mechanisms
- Experience working with or on behalf of asylum seekers and refugees or vulnerable populations is a plus
- Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Exceptional problem-solving and adaptation skills
Compensation:
