ADRA Thailand is currently seeking applicants for the position of Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to work at our project office in Mae Sot. Tak.
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer Position
Work Location : Mae Sot, Tak Province
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate project activities in the field according to the project proposal, work plans and ADRA Thailand policies and guidelines.
- Closely cooperate with the Project Manager/project management team in Maesot to implement new initiatives in the camps and to develop and implement systems to monitor and evaluate field activities and collect project statistics.
- Supervise the KAN field team, including monitoring work, providing performance feedback and evaluation to ensure a high level of staff performance.
- Produce monthly budget planning, ensure all expenditure are in line with planning and approved budget and produce monthly activity reports as required by the project management.
- Oversee the procurement activities in close cooperation with the Logistics/Driver and Procurement Officer and ensure that required materials for courses are delivered to camps on time.
- Liaise with Thai Authorities to secure permission and camp passes for materials entering the camps.
- Represent ADRA Thailand to Thai Authorities, Thai communities, camps communities, NGOs/CBOs, donor and others as required in professional manners.
- Coordinate necessary field visits by ADRA Thailand senior management staff, Thai Authorities, donors and others as required.
- Escalate issue requiring immediate solution to the Project Manager and Program Coordinator.
- Perform other tasks as required by the Project Manager.
Preferred candidates are expected to meet the following:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in education, or related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years experience working with NGOs/CBOs in the VT sector or equal to the position responsibilities outline above
Language Skills:
- Good Thai, Karen/Burmese and English Language skills
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be willing to travel and work in remote camps along the Thai – Myanmar border (estimated at 50% of time)
- Willingness to implement policies and procedures with a professional and constructive attitude.
- Must have strong operational management skill and be team orientated.
- Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to take initiative and work with minimum supervision.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications.
- Abilities to accurately review and analyze financial and statistical reports in Excel format.
- Must have a valid driver license.
