Purpose of the Position
Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the incumbent will focus on the acquisition of large volumes of F2F donors especially high quality pledge donors to grow un-earned funds. The role will be accountable for F2F income targets, driving volume through existing suppliers and managing risk by diversifying and building an in-house operation. The incumbent will research and propose other hybrid models of F2F e.g. using Multi-level marketing (MLM) companies and develop then test new models e.g. two-step lead generation / conversion or door to door (D2D).
Major Responsibilities
- With support from the supervisor, the incumbent develops the F2F strategy and annual plan.
- Monitors and evaluates the F2F budget on a monthly basis. Analyzes information to make informed strategic choices about F2F.
- Builds a strong F2F pledge fundraising operation including the daily management of contractor(s) and the in-house operation.
- Contributes to the selection and independent management of all F2F contractor(s).
- Organizes and makes arrangements with contractors, suppliers and relevant personnel within and/or outside the office to develop and implement pledge and donor acquisition activities. Briefs, trains, and motivates suppliers’ personnel to ensure the best results of fundraising campaigns.
- Directly supervises and monitors the in-house F2F manager and team. Manages operational F2F team (Facers) to ensure targets are met. This includes responsibility for recruitment of Facers, ongoing performance management of Facers, detailed daily and weekly reporting of results, site and event management, training, development and motivation of team.
- Leads the development of the F2F proposition and materials (concept, design and production). Ensures all materials meet brand requirements and are in line with UNICEF’s core values. Tests and adapts materials to maximize effectiveness, i.e. donors recruited, average gift, Return on Investment (ROI).
- Works with Corporate Fund Raising Officer to develop partnerships with corporate partners to support the work of F2F, e.g. long term agreements for pro bono event space / special events and expo’s.
- Develops and implements a 2-step F2F program, i.e. small value regular premium SMS, for pledge conversion.
- Develops plans to explore, tests, and implements new model for F2F recruitment, i.e. recruitment technique through the MLM companies.
- Develops investment fund application, monitors fund utilization and prepares required reporting in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
- Advanced university degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration or related fields.
** A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. **
- Minimum one year of professional experience in sales/marketing and/or fundraising. Hands-on experience in donor/customers acquisition is a strong asset.
- Experience in the management of fund raising activities with private sector organizations / companies / individuals.
- Experience in budgeting and financial skills are desirable.
- High fluency in written and spoken English and Thai.
- Proven proficiency and good knowledge of computer applications.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Tact, discretion, self-starter and good judgement.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Attention to details.
- Good analytical, negotiation, interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas.
- Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
