Workplace Safety and Basic Firefighting Trainer
Project: TUI Academy 2 Project
Location: Phang Nga (1 position) and Phuket (1 position), Thailand

Duration: 3.5 hours
1. Background
The TUI Academy 2 Project is implemented by Plan International Thailand with support from the TUI Care Foundation to improve the employability of vulnerable young women and men in Phang Nga and Phuket through vocational skills development and access to decent employment opportunities in the hospitality and tourism industry.
As part of the work-readiness preparation programme, participants will receive training on Workplace Safety and Basic Firefighting to strengthen their understanding of occupational safety practices and emergency preparedness before entering internships and employment in the hospitality industry. The training aims to provide participants with essential knowledge of workplace safety, accident prevention, emergency response procedures, and the proper use of basic firefighting equipment.
Plan International Thailand is seeking qualified trainers to deliver an interactive 3.5 hour training workshop for project participants in Phuket and Phang Nga.
2. Purpose of the Assignment
To deliver a Workplace Safety and Basic Firefighting training workshop that equips youth participating in the TUI Academy 2 Project with fundamental knowledge and practical skills to work safely, prevent workplace accidents, respond appropriately to emergencies, and correctly use basic firefighting equipment in accordance with workplace safety standards.

7. Reporting Line
The Consultant will report directly to the SOYEE Programme Manager and work closely with the TUI Academy project coordinator at Plan International Thailand.

The consultant must adhere to Plan International’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct and ensure that all activities promote gender equality, inclusion, and child/youth protection.
10. Payment Terms
Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables and submission of reports, as per the agreed schedule in the consultant’s contract.
11. Confidentiality
All information, materials, and documents shared or produced during the consultancy shall remain confidential and the property of Plan International Thailand.
