Summary of Job Responsibilities

CPI has been implementing HSS initiatives for more than a decade to strengthen resilient health systems in low-resource settings. As part of its HSS strategy, CPI has supported local health actors in implementing HIS using native InfoMx HIS platform to strengthen routine health information management. To enhance sustainability, scalability, interoperability and alignment with global digital health standards, CPI is transitioning from InfoMx HIS to DHIS2. DHIS2 Specialist will provide technical leadership for the design, configuration, implementation and rollout of DHIS2 across partner organizations. The position will work closely with Country's MEL, HSS and HIS team to support in designing organization information management system architecture and systems interoperability using HL7/ FHIR under supervision of HIS Manager and Director of MEL and HSS.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and rollout of DHIS2 across CPI -supported partner organizations under the guidance of the HIS Manager
• Configure and customize DHIS2, including organization units, data elements, datasets, indicators, Tracker/Event programs, reports, and metadata packages according to partner requirements
• Install, configure, and maintain DHIS2 environments for partner organizations, including server setup, user management, data validation, backup and routine system administration
• Assist in integrating DHIS2 with other health information systems including disease surveillance, HRIS, LMIS and laboratory information systems using HL7/ FHIR
• Collaborate with Country MEL, HIS and HSS team to identify partner requirements, customize DHIS2 applications and troubleshoot technical issues
• Develop SoPs, training materials and provide training and technical support to partners
• Support in technical collaboration with regional and global DHIS2 institutions
• Any other tasks assigned by supervisor and unit leadership

Partner Support

• Provide end-to-end technical, implementation, integration, training, and system support to partner organizations.
• Handling any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or unit head to meet partner needs
• Expand partner’s DHIS2 system while improving data quality and decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Medical related degree or Information System Technology
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing, configuring and managing DHIS2 platforms
• Demonstrated experience in configuring DHIS2 metadata including organisation units, data elements, datasets, indicators, Tracker/Event programs, dashboards, reports, user roles, and sharing settings
• Knowledge of DHIS2 system administration such as installation, upgrades, backup, user management on cloud platforms using Linux/ Tomcat server
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
• Sound knowledge of DHIS2 APIs, metadata packages, interoperability concepts and international digital health standards (ICD, RxNorm, SNOMED CT, LOINC) preferred
• Excellent coordination, problem-solving and communication skills
• Good command of English (spoken and written), including the ability to manage English documentation andcommunicate with international colleagues and stakeholders and good Thai command is preferred.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as being part of a team
• Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the local cultural and political context, and be able to motivate others and work successfully within these contexts
