English Language Facilitator –
Basic English Communication for Hospitality and Service Work
Project: TUI Academy 2 Project
Location: Phang Nga (1 position) and Phuket (1 position), Thailand

1. Background
The TUI Academy 2 Project is implemented by Plan International Thailand with support from TUI Care Foundation to enhance the employability of vulnerable young women and men in Phang Nga and Phuket through skills development and access to decent employment opportunities in the hospitality and tourism sector.
As part of the project, a Basic English Communication for Hospitality and Service Work course will be delivered to equip participants with practical English communication skills required for customer service and workplace interactions. The training aims to strengthen participants’ confidence and ability to communicate effectively in real hospitality and service settings, thereby increasing their readiness for internships and employment.
The English Language Facilitator will be responsible for planning and delivering interactive, learner-centered training sessions, developing appropriate teaching materials, assessing participants’ learning progress, and creating a supportive learning environment that enables participants to build practical English communication skills for the workplace.
2. Purpose of the Assignment
To design, prepare, and deliver the Basic English Communication for Hospitality and Service Work course for youth participating in the TUI Academy 2 Project. The assignment aims to strengthen participants’ practical English communication skills, enhance their confidence in workplace communication, and improve their readiness for internships and employment in the hospitality and service industry.

A final training report is submitted, including a summary of training activities, participant attendance, assessment results, key achievements, challenges encountered, and recommendations for future improvement.
5. Duration of Assignment
The assignment is expected to commence on 25 July 2026 and will consist of 60 training hours. Training will be delivered 3–4 days per week, following the project training schedule, over an estimated period of seven (7) weeks.

7. Reporting Line
The Consultant will report directly to the SOYEE Programme Manager and work closely with the TUI Academy project coordinator at Plan International Thailand.

The consultant must adhere to Plan International’s Child Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct and ensure that all activities promote gender equality, inclusion, and child/youth protection.
10. Payment Terms
Payment will be made upon satisfactory completion of deliverables and submission of reports, as per the agreed schedule in the consultant’s contract.

All information, materials, and documents shared or produced during the consultancy shall remain confidential and the property of Plan International Thailand.
