About the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP)
SRP Thailand serves as the secretariat office for the Sustainable Rice Platform e.V. (SRP), leading the promotion and implementation of the SRP Standard, related tools, guidance, and training programs. The office works closely with national stakeholders to accelerate adoption, strengthen local capacity, and deliver measurable impact at scale across Thailand’s rice sector.
The Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) is the executing agency for a three-year regional project funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and the Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF). The project — "Public-Private Blended Finance Facility for Climate-Resilient Rice Landscapes" (GEF ID: 10929) — operates across three pilot countries: Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Viet Nam, with FAO serving as GEF Implementing Agency.
The project's objective is to catalyse public and private investment in climate-resilient rice landscapes, value chains, and livelihoods. It is structured around three components: (1) design of an integrated blended finance facility; (2) capacity development of farmers, cooperatives, and financial intermediaries; and (3) governance, monitoring, and knowledge management. The project is now in active implementation — the inception phase has been completed.
