Program Officer

KOICA Thailand Office | AIA Capital Center, Bangkok 10400

 

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is the Korean government agency responsible for bilateral grant aid and technical cooperation programs. In Thailand, KOICA supports development cooperation activities and also manages invitation programs for Thai officials as well as the dispatch of Korean volunteers to partner organizations.

KOICA Thailand Office is seeking a suitably qualified applicant for the position of Program Officer.

 

Key Information

  • Position Title: Program Officer
  • Nationality: Thai
  • Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2027 (with possibility of annual extension)
  • Working Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (35 hours/week)
  • Salary Range: USD 950 1,100, depending on experience
  • Duty Station: KOICA Thailand Office, AIA Capital Center, Bangkok 10400
  • Estimated Start Date: 20 April 2026
  • Application Deadline: 24 March 2026
  • Expected Interview Date: 27 March 2026

 

Duties and Responsibilities

1) WFK (World Friends Korea) Dispatched Personnel Management

  • Support WFK volunteer and advisor service/activity management in coordination with Program Managers.
  • Assist in safety-related processes, including monitoring local safety updates, supporting safety briefings, and assisting with emergency procedures as required.
  • Support the planning and implementation of demand surveys for WFK volunteers, advisors, and KMCO.
  • Support trainings, annual events, and VOP (Volunteer On-site Project) activities.

 

2) Project Management

  • Support project planning, coordination, and implementation.
  • Assist with meetings, preparation of presentations, reports, and coordination with experts.
  • Assist in the coordination with relevant Thai government agencies and partner organizations.

 

3) Administration

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for office operations and events as needed.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in international relations, development, Korean language, or related fields).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Experience in project management or human resource management is an advantage.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Korean is an asset.
