Join Us as Program Officer (Health System Strengthening)

Location: Mae Sot | Status: Independent Contractor | Report to: Senior Program Coordinator

Are you a professional passionate about making a difference? REACH for Equity is seeking a Program Officer (Health System Strengthening) who will be based in Mae Sot, Thailand and is responsible for coordinating with the management team and REACH colleagues to collaborate with partner organization and manage project related activities. This role requires strong community engagement, training, planning, monitoring, culture awareness and independent working. This position will report to Senior Program Coordinator.

What We’re Looking For:

• A bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, public health, community health, or a related field, with at least two years of experience working on health projects, particularly in Health System Strengthening and health financing.
• Good knowledge in medical practice, treatments, and guidelines used in ethnic areas
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English is essential
• Demonstrated experience in community engagement, training, and capacity building
• Demonstrated skills in coordination and collaboration with governmental institutions, ethnic health organizations (EHOs), and community-based organizations (CBOs)
• Good communication and facilitations skills
• Able to work in a multicultural context in tight schedule
• Good knowledge of computer skills in M.S, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Training experience for both medical and non-medical persons
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills and positive attitude
• Prefer experience of working in Karen and Karenni state with ethnic health organizations (EHOs).
