ROLE PURPOSE
Rivers & Rights works with river dependent communities and their allies across Southeast Asia and beyond to assert rights to dignified livelihoods and healthy river ecosystems, create the pressure needed for accountability for violations of community and environmental rights and collectively mobilize to overcome oppression and injustices. We hope these efforts will contribute to advancing a future where river dependent communities are thriving with dignity, positioned to protect healthy ecosystems from extractivism and peoples’ rights are protected and promoted.
The successful applicant will support Rivers and Rights on Thai-English translations including but not limited to translating documents (reports, communication materials, letters etc) and simultaneous translations at key events.
DELIVERABLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Thai-English translations of key Rivers and Rights program and operation documents
● Simultaneous translations at key events for Rivers and Rights and partners
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
● At least 5 years of experience in Thai-English translation, documents and simultaneous
● Knowledge and experience in working with environmental, climate and/or social justice non-profit organizations in the Mekong region
● Alignment with Rivers and Rights mission and values
Quotation/Application:
● Provide your quotation in Thai Baht which includes rates e.g. per page or per xx words.
● Provide a copy of CV.
● Provide 2-3 sample reports or materials recently created by you (preferably within last 24 months).
