DARE Network (Drug and Alcohol Recovery and Education) on the Thai/Myanmar Border is looking for a grant researcher and grant writer, on-going.

• DARE Network has worked for 25 years on the Thailand/Myanmar border with the displaced people from Myanmar providing non-medical, culturally appropriate addiction treatment and prevention education.  DARE Network is a grassroots community-based organization founded in Thailand for the benefit of communities in Thailand.
• As a community-based local organization DARE Network relies on International Grants and Donations from private organizations, foundations and individuals.
• DARE Network is the only organization providing comprehensive, effect, innovative and cutting-edge programming for substance abuse in the targeted area.
• Addiction rates among war affected people is exponentially higher than the general population of all countries in the world.
• DARE Network’s success rates are steadily at or around 60% non-relapse compared to 25-30% in North America and Europe.

The applicant:

• Experienced grant research and writing for grass roots community-based organizations
• Knowledge of the ongoing situation on the Thai/Myanmar border
• Can work remotely
• Good communicator and willing to work with local staff

The organization:

• Provide written and verbal background and successful previous grant applications to the Grant Writer
• Willing to meet in person or via video communication
• Provide all documentation to the Grant Writer, as needed
• Provide financial details necessary to the Grant Writer for any proposals

Compensation to be negotiated based on experience, location and results.
