Plan International is an international, humanitarian, child-centered development organisation without religious, political or governmental affiliations.  Plan is one of the world’s largest International non-government organisation who work with and for children and communities in 51 developing countries around the world, 14 of which are in Asia. Plan Thailand is looking for the following position.

URGENTLY REQUIRED

Local Capacity Development Manager

 

Purposed:

To lead country strategic plan in term of local capacity development including youth network for sustainability and its implementation and represent Plan Thailand in national and international fora.

Acts as a leader to ensure the strengthening of local civil society organisations (CSOs) and influence them to work on a common agenda for children of most-at-risk populations in the long-term and shall work toward child-centered programming. 

 

Responsibilities:

Develop the competency model of partners, identify the training & development road map, set up the plan to made them competent to meet expectations

Facilitate the partners’ learning and development  process ensure the training , awareness raising, and capacity building to partners

Coordinate with all concern people both internal and external  to design the content, program, tools for partners’ capacity development

Initiate the strategy to motivate and promote partners to build capacity for sustainability

Monitoring visit, and advice to the partners in term of competency development

Produce the progress report with lesson learnt of the building capacity of the partners

 Initiate to build the network of local civil society groups and motivate them to have a common agenda working on realization of the rights of Most at risk population in Thailand   

Maintain and promote the strength of local civil society groups to sustain working on the committed agenda

Create the conditions to support the strength of group & network  local civil society

Follow up, assess, and produce the progress report with lesson learnt of the local civil society network building & development

 

Qualifications & Experience

At least Bachelor degree in Social Science, Education for Adult or related fields

2-5 years  experience in Human resources development, learning management, social/community development projects, at least 3 years in a management level

Experience in working for a multi cultural non profit organisation will be advantage

Experience in participatory training,  training provider, group facilitating, modern tools for learning, managing whole process of social development project and/or human resources development

Proven knowledge, awareness on Child Rights Conventions and Thai Child Protection Act

Good written and oral communication skills in Thai and English

Computer : word, excel, power point, internet

Able to travel to the provinces where Plan is implementing the projects

   Plan has a Child Protection Policy.  The applicant should be willing to allow Plan to conduct a police check once he or she is considered for the position.
