Service Agreement to facilitate a gender and power workshops of Save the Children Thailand staff
Save the Children Thailand has prioritized building internal capacity to promote gender equality and social inclusion with a holistic and intersectional approach to ensure that we are able to achieve the breakthroughs for children. Through HEARTS (Highlighting Equality and Respect Towards all SOGIESC) project, we also work to ensure the realization of rights for children and youth with diverse sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, sex characteristics (SOGIESC). Therefore, we aim to provide in total of four workshops for our staff to capacitate the culture that embraces diversity and promotes equality and inclusion.
Purpose and scope of this service:
Save the Children Thailand (SCT) to hire a consultant to design and facilitate workshops for SCT staff on gender and power to promote gender equality and social inclusion within our culture and program. The consultant's role is to design a workshop that promotes a comprehensive understanding of power dynamics, gender analysis and intersectionality. This understanding will serve as a basis for acknowledging the specific culture within the organization and its workplace. Through the workshop, participants will uncover the deep-rooted aspects of patriarchal norms and discriminatory practices that have been internalized and normalized. SCT team will explore solutions to effectively address and prevent instances of abuse, harassment and hostility within the organization. Ultimately, the workshop aims to work together to create a safe and inclusive working environment that benefits everyone. There will be total of four workshops in three locations: Bangkok, Pattani, and Mae Sot. Participants for each workshop will be approximately 12-20 persons. The timeline of the workshops is September – November 2023.
The consultancy period is 8 September – 19 December 2023 with maximum 15 working days, and the summary must be submitted by 19 December 2023.

Management of the consultancy:
The consultant will report to SOGIESC and Child Rights Expert and Project Coordinator, with management support from the Child Protection and Child Rights Governance Program Coordinator and the Strategy, Program Quality & Impact Director who will provide inputs throughout the consultancy period.
The consultant/service provider shall ensure compliance with Child Safeguarding Policy, PSEAH (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment) Policy, and guideline on child-safe and sensitive participation guideline.
The service fee will be in Thai baht to cover all consultancy costs. The consultancy fee should include all transportation costs, all team members cost, materials and supplies, communication costs, and any other incurring costs. Kindly note that SCT will be responsible for breaks and meals at the venue of the workshops.
