Background

FHI 360 Asia Pacific Regional Office (APRO) Strategy and Innovation with Evidence Unit is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Quality and Thought Leadership Consultant to support the implementation of APRO Technical Quality and Thought Leadership Strategy.

Scope of Work:

• Support the implementation of APRO Technical Quality and Thought Leadership Strategy
• Support APRO and projects in identifying opportunities for FHI 360 thought leadership and technical advancement;
• Advance locally-led knowledge generation by supporting development of study protocol, data collection instruments and review process by APRO and FHI 360 Institutional Review Board.
• Co-author and/or assist with production of manuscripts, technical briefs, reports, other publications and documents related to localization.
• Contribute content for, produce and/or edit content for web pages and presentations.
• Propose platforms and communication channels for dissemination of knowledge products.
• In collaboration with the Environment and Climate Change (ECC team) and selected FHI 360 country offices, gather and analyze data to inform strategies to address climate change in Asia pacific countries.

Location of Work: 

Work will be performed virtually. FHI 360 is open to candidates based anywhere in the world provided that they have reliable internet access and are available for periodic virtual meetings in Bangkok (UTC +7) time zones

Travel: 

Occasional travel in the Asia region is likely.

Qualifications Two or more years of experience providing technical support for project implementation activities, including research.

• In-depth knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures with providing technical support for capacity development. 
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors, problem solve, take corrective action and prepare reports.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience in coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
• Has sensitivity to cultural and cognitive diversity and understanding of the political, contextual, and ethical issues in assigned areas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Published knowledge products, in peer review manuscripts is preferable.

Education

• Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in Health, International Development, Social Sciences or Related Field.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the following criteria:

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on how well they meet the minimum requirements for the position, as demonstrated via the cover letter and CV/resume.
• Evaluation will be based upon best value, through a combination of qualifications including education (20%), relevant experience (60%), and proposed daily rate (20%).
• Only shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Technical Monitor(s) and references may be consulted.
• Award will be presented to the candidate who passes the interview.
