Community Partners International focuses on helping communities affected by conflict, violence, and displacement, in remote and hard-to-reach contexts, and marginalized by poverty and exclusion.
Primary Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Manager, the Program Coordinator (Consultant) will be responsible for the management and implementation of assigned projects effectively, based on culturally and situation-appropriate adaptations of international best practices.
- Establish, strengthen and sustain good relationships/ coordination with respective implementing partners, local authorities and other relevant organizations.
- Cooperate with the grants team for grant letter developments, grant tracking and reporting.
- Work together with Senior Program Manager in managing and tracking the project activities to ensure the planned activities are implemented on time and meet the targets.
- Support to Senior Program Manager in Monitoring and tracking the targets to project teams and partners organizations to be able to deliver the results on time in effective and efficient manner.
- Assist to Senior Program Manager in coordination with different stakeholders, partners and donors to inform project plan and updates regularly to get consensus and take the actions on time.
- Support to Senior Program Manager in regularly monitoring and tracking project expenses at both organization level and partner level to ensure all the expenses are against the approved work plan and budget, donor’s policies and guidelines as well as CPI’s finance’s rules and regulations.
- Conduct regular monitoring to partners on the progress and implementation of the project for effective and efficient implementation and supports to partners.
Regular Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly reports and bi-annual donor reports.
- Working closely with project staff, contribute to CPI’s internal monitoring and evaluation efforts.
- Support to Senior Program Manager in working with the finance to oversight and management of partners’ sub-grants including preparation of LOAs, oversight of subgrantee payments, adherence with donor requirements and timelines, and timely submission of sub-grantee reports.
- Facilitate the capacity building and technical training for individual and organizational development of civil society organizations and partner organizations.
- Any other tasks assigned by Senior Program Manager.
Capacity Building and Supporting other Staff
- Assist to Senior Program Manager in managing the program implementation for planning and review process.
- Support to Senior Program Manager in working with the finance team and program staff to prepare annual and quarterly budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, and to ensure all program expenses are within budget and have appropriate supporting documentation, including receipts.
Operations and Administration
- Assist to Senior Program Manager to meet with prospective donors or partners as needed, and help to ensure donor requests are handled promptly and effectively
- Support to Senior Program Manager in organizing workshop and meetings with local
- authority and health departments as required.
Organization Representation
- Represent CPI to external stakeholders including donors and other implementing partners
- Assist to Senior Program Manager in coordination with and advocacy to the relevant
- government authorities and other international and local organizations about CPI and
- implementing programs
Essential Skills
- Master of Public Health Preferred. Equivalent work experience in working on public health projects with local organizations, especially in SRHR projects.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public health program management in an international organization.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English and Burmese.
- Demonstrated experiences in program management, stakeholder management and team management skill.
- Experience working in a multicultural, low-resource setting
- Ability to establish priorities in a time-sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality.
- Flexibility to allow for travel (up to 20% of work time), variable working hours, and some modifications of tasks and responsibilities as team and project needs change.
