Freedom Collaborative is a US-registered non-profit organization that provides an online community platform for professionals and activists working to end human trafficking, forced labor, and exploitation around the world. We implement activities and services for data and information sharing to improve collaboration among our members and other stakeholders.
The Community Manager will lead the design and implementation of activities focused on building partnerships and facilitating information exchange in Asia, with a specific focus on the USAID Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) project.
The Community Manager will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including launching and implementing a collaborative exchange platform for civil society in Thailand. Additionally, they will develop Freedom Collaborative's online resource toolkit, tailored to meet the information and resource needs of civil society professionals engaged in Thai Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) work. The role also involves managing partnerships with members and other stakeholders to facilitate collaborative activities and working closely with the USAID Thailand CTIP and USAID Asia CTIP project teams based in Bangkok.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead Freedom Collaborative’s activities in Thailand and Asia, focusing on information-sharing and partnership-building among civil society and other stakeholders. Organize meetings, workshops and other activities to achieve project objectives.
- Identify and cultivate potential partners, creating an engagement strategy that aligns with project goals. Establish partnerships at various levels within civil society.
- Proactively communicate with the USAID Thailand CTIP project team, identifying opportunities for collaboration and synergies between project activities and partners. Work closely with the team to achieve shared objectives.
- Draft compelling proposals and prepare detailed quarterly and annual reports for funders. Participate in strategic planning meetings to contribute to the project's direction.
- Support the development and production of Freedom Collaborative's newsletters and communication materials. Collaborate with the team to brainstorm ideas and engage partners effectively.
- Represent Freedom Collaborative in official meetings with funders, international and national organizations, and networks. Present the organization's mission, activities, and achievements confidently.
- Perform additional tasks and duties as needed in unique and non-routine circumstances to leverage skills and expertise effectively.
This presents an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, self-motivated professional with experience in facilitating and designing program strategies, convening civil society organizations, and building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of program design and implementation, ideally in the field of countering human trafficking and related issues.
- Relevant experience in international development, human rights, law, or a related area.
- Experience working on issues related to human trafficking and forced labor.
- Experience convening and facilitating processes with civil society organizations.
- Experience collaborating with grassroots organizations and managing projects.
- Experience designing and implementing programs to address complex social issues.
- Competence in grant and program reporting and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-cultural sensitivity and appreciation.
- Fluent in both English and Thai languages.
- Thai national.
- Team player with a strong commitment to Freedom Collaborative’s mission and values. Passionate about human rights issues.
- Able to identify and address key issues, anticipate needs, and adapt solutions to meet changing circumstances.
- Experienced in collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, from different levels and backgrounds.

- Works well as part of a team and is able to build relationships with people from different backgrounds.
- Strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong initiative in resolving day-to-day challenges with minimal guidance.
- Excellent attention to detail and precise record-keeping.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
