Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need in over 40 countries. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters in Sob-Moei district, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced Thai national for the position as Logistic Assistant – Inventory and Stock

Duty Station:             Mae Sariang town, Mae Hong Son province

Work locations:         Mae Sariang and Sob-Moei Districts within the field

Duration:                   One year (with possible extension of contract)

Salary range:             20,000 THB (+benefits)

Main Responsibilities and Duties

1. In close collaboration with the procurement unit and Logistic Officer register all relevant inventory items in the correct inventory list and assign unique inventory codes to all items above threshold level, in accordance with the MI regulations.
2. Perform physical inventory checks in MSR and Camps twice a year for timely updating of location and status of inventory items for reporting to HQ in July and January every year.
3. Coordinate with procurement unit and relevant supervisors the status of inventory and stock items before procurement planning.
4. Document and keep at designated space all items listed as broken and develop disposal plan and MDNs for approval and action, in accordance with the MI regulations.
5. Manage reception, handling, proper storage and stock control of all supplies and program goods in accordance with the MI regulations and policies.
6. Maintain an up-to-date system using stock control cards and record flow of resources in and out of the warehouse, ensuring proper singing for all materials by those delivering and receiving materials.
7. Prepare a monthly stock report to be submitted to the Logistic Officer and ensure the correctness of the stock report versus stock card and physical count.
8. Regularly inspect all MSR warehouses and condition of stock or inventory in storage to avoid wastage or deterioration due to weather or pests.
9. Closely coordinate with Pharmacy Supervisor regarding responsibility for medical materials and equipment

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

1. At least high school graduate
2. Proven logistic experience on inventory, stock control, and stock management
3. Multi- tasked and flexible
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills
5. Fluent in written and spoken Thai and Karen.
6. A valid driver license (MC and Car) considered advantage.
7. Computer skills in mainly MS Words and MS Excel
