Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. 1.ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT AND SCOPE:
Under the overall supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer and the direct supervision of the Senior Migration Health Nurse, the incumbent will be responsible for receptionist’s duties and assist in clerical and administrative task for the Migration Health Assessment Center (MHAC).
2.RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Receiving visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
- Answer all phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner and refer inquiries appropriately.
- Support office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- Assist Senior Nurse in maintaining office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Assist Medical Assistant in maintaining records and scheduling appointments, while keeping client’s information confidential.
- Assist in clerical and administrative tasks (e.g., data entry, cash management, accounting, or logistic coordination).
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
3.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma with three years of relevant experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Social Sciences or related fields from an accredited academic institution with one year of relevant professional experience.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in working with customers in an English-speaking environment.
- Experience in working with international humanitarian organizations, non-government, or government institutions/organization with a multi-cultural setting.
SKILLS
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Customer service attitude
- Awareness of gender and confidentiality issues; respect for cultural diversity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or computer skills, IT skills

4.LANGUAGES
- Fluency in English and Thai (oral and written) is required.
