BACKGROUND ON ALTERNATIVE CARE THAILAND (ACT)

OUR VISION: We envision all children in Thailand growing up in safe and nurturing families.

Our mission is to work together with stakeholders to:

1. Advocate the government for care reform
2. Build evidence and know-how
3. Strengthen capacity of government and NGOs to deliver services
4. Influence effective resources to ensure all children grow up in safe and nurturing families.
5. Support the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and UNICEF in the implementation of the National Action Plan for Alternative Care.

POSITION SUMMARY

ROLE

The successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to thrive in a high pressure environment and able to take the initiative. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for personal growth in a fast-moving environment. ACT is a rare and special thing, the coming together of multiple organisations and individuals to work together for the greater good. You will be at the center of this movement.

Based in One Sky’s office in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai, you will coordinate ACT’s monthly meetings either online or face to face. You will support the operation of several ACT projects across member organisations including provincial survey’s, training for government partners, research, online workshops, care leaver group and new partnerships. You will support the ACT leadership with funding applications and reporting. You will become a confident and well-informed spokesperson and representative for ACT.

You will be required to travel between Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Khon Kaen (and other places as needed).

This position is not a neat, in a box position. The extent of your growth and your impact for children will depend largely on the extent of your own ambition.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent speaker, reader, and writer in both Thai and English
• A demonstrable commitment to Children’s Rights as set out in the CRC and UN Guidelines for the Alternative Care of Children.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• High flexibility
• Willing and able to learn new concepts and skills
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent time and project managements skills
• Highly proficient in general computer skills (Zoom, Google Drive, Microsoft Office, social media) and able to learn new technological skills

ตำแหน่งงานโดยย่อ

บทบาทหน้าที่

สถานที่ทำงานคือสำนักงานมูลนิธิวันสกายที่หางดง จ. เชียงใหม่ โดยคุณจะต้องช่วยประสานงานจัดการประชุมรายเดือนของ ACT ไม่ว่าจะทางออนไลน์หรือแบบตัวต่อตัว ช่วยเหลือการปฏิบัติงานระหว่างสมาชิกที่เป็นองค์กรต่างๆ ในโครงการทั้งหลายของ ACT อันรวมถึงการทำการสำรวจของแต่ละจังหวัด การจัดอบรมสำหรับพันธมิตรภาครัฐบาล การทำวิจัย การจัด workshop ทางออนไลน์ กลุ่มของผู้ที่เคยอยู่ในระบบการเลี้ยงดูแบบทดแทน และการสร้างพันธมิตรใหม่ๆ ช่วยเหลือสนับสนุนผู้นำของ ACT ในเรื่องการขอเงินทุนและการรายงานต่างๆ  คุณจะกลายเป็นโฆษกและผู้แทนของ ACT ที่มีความมั่นใจและเต็มไปด้วยข้อมูลความรู้เป็นอย่างดี

คุณจะต้องเดินทางระหว่างกทม. เชียงใหม่ เชียงราย และขอนแก่น (และที่อื่นๆ ตามความจำเป็น)

สวัสดิการ

ผู้เป็นนายจ้างจะเป็นมูลนิธิวันสกาย เราเชื่อมั่นในการลงทุนกับครอบครัวโดยจะต้องเริ่มจากลูกจ้างของเราก่อน เรามองหาเพื่อนร่วมงานที่มีความรับผิดชอบ ขยันหมั่นเพียร ในขณะเดียวกัน เราก็เสนอให้มีความยืดหยุ่นต่อเวลาทำงานและโครงสร้างในการทำงาน โดยเฉพาะผู้ที่มีลูกเล็ก
